32. Best of iphone's Accessories
01 Oct
Posted by Alex as 'Tech Gear & Gadgets'
I recently purchased the new Apple iPhone about a week ago and so far I’ve tried an endless variety of accessories for it in order to find the best possible combination. Now before I get started, this is not at all something that I’m alone in doing, my friends, colleagues, and business associates have also been trying out their share of accessories. And I have to say that there’s a lot of crappy and super-bulky accessories that just plain-out don’t go well with the iPhone at all. Luckily after all the trial and error I’ve experience, I’ve finally found the perfect combo of accessories for my iPhone, and here’s what I have to show for it.
“Luckily after all the trial and error I’ve experience, I’ve finally found the perfect combo of accessories for my iPhone, and here’s what I have to show for it.”
The Incase Protective Cover
If you really want a protective cover for your iPhone that doesn’t take much away from the simplicity of Apple’s design, then the rubber Incase Protective Cover is the way to go. I’ve checked out the other Incase covers and several third-party ones, and they are pretty much all the same - bulky. This is the only one in my opinion that is durable, functional, and designed to compliment the iPhone’s design. The rest all look good online, but once you get any of those other cases on your iPhone, they’re just horrible and leave you quite unsatisfied with the look and feel of it all. The Incase rubber cover is ideal if you want to stay true to the slick design of the iPhone while providing true protection for it. It also comes in three rather attractive colors, red, slate, and black. I went with the slate colored one, but I would say that the black one would be more durable to stains and/or ink marks.
Something that really makes this case stand out from the rest is the topographic details embedded right into the rubber out-sole. Making the grip of the rubber case even better by sliming down the chances of accidently dropping your iPhone. Another positive feature about this case is that it is not obtrusive at all, instead it keeps the iPhone’s screen, microphone, speaker and camera clear of clutter and accessible, nothing like the other cases I tested. The Incase Protective Cover is a must-have accessory for your new iPhone, and I highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a truly great case.
The Power Support Crystal Film Set
If you’re worried about scratching your new iPhone, then you’ll want to get the Power Support Crystal Film Set for protection. This accessory is basically a thin and clear static-cling film that shields your iPhone from the daily exposure of potential scratches, dust, and dirt. Now this is not a must-have, but it’s a really practical accessory to get for your iPhone. It is easy to apply and it covers the entire face of the iPhone, maintaining the LCD clean and protected from daily use.
The Protective film can also be removed for cleaning and then easily reapplied right after. Although the film helps against scratches and abrasions, it won’t completely prevent damage due to forceful collisions or major impacts to your iPhone. I consider the crystal film as simply an extension to keeping your iPhone in that shiny mint-condition for as long as possible, delaying the affects of the wear-n-tear of daily use.
The Belkin Sport Armband
The Belkin Sport Armband is by far the best of its kind, keeping it flexible and functional while you exercise. The Sport Armband is made from neoprene material, which makes it super-lightweight and provides maximum comfort during long workouts or any daily activities. One of the great things about it is that it’s hand-washable and water-resistant, to easily maintain it clean after those hardcore workouts.
The Belkin Sport Armband also features a key or earbud storage pocket, a clear screen plastic protector, velcro closure, reflective material for use in the dark, volume control access, and advanced high-frequency welding to ensure minimal bulk. Making it a top-rated accessory for Apple’s iPhone, and a must-have for any sport/exercise enthusiast.
The Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset
This is one of the most highly rated and advanced Bluetooth headsets out in the market right now. The Aliph Jawbone virtually blocks-out and eliminates all background noise, keeping calls clear and static-free. This is due to Jawbone’s Noise Shield technology, an advanced acoustic and audio processing technology originally developed for the military.
The Aliph Jawbone Headset stands the test in even the most extreme conditions, constantly eliminating background noise and providing crystal clear phone conversations. This Bluetooth Headset provides exceptional performance combined with a great modern design, which makes it a truly innovative and unique product. There are also three colors to choose from, black, red, and silver. So it’s easy to get one that matches your Incase Protective Cover.
XtremeMac InCharge Auto Charger
This nifty little car charger can come in handy on road-trips or when you simply need a quick recharge while stuck in traffic. The XtremeMac InCharge Auto Charger is backed by a lifetime guarantee, which is definitely a big plus in my book and shows just how tough and durable it can be. It also includes a power plug which doubles as a USB cable, making it easy to switch between charging your iPhone and plugging it into your laptop. Something else that is really great about this car charger is that it’s designed to safely power and charge your iPhone but can also charge any of your iPods without a problem, so it’s actually quite useful.

31. about new iphone "general"
iPhone 3G invisibleSHIELD Posted on: 7-16-2008 / Category: iPhone Accessories We all noticed the new shiny plastic back of the iPhone 3G. But, considering the dangers it will be exposed to in your pocket or purse, with keys, coins and other sharp objects, it might not stay that shiny for long. That's where the new full body protection from InvisibleSHIELD comes in handy. It's made from a flexible, yet scratch proof membrane, used by the military to protect helicopters blades. It protects both the screen and the back of the iPHone 3G and, unlike cheaper models, that scratch themself in a few weeks of use, this shield is so tought that it comes with a lifetime warranty against scratches. You can buy one from the manufacturer's site: ZAGG.com (we recomend the full body version, since the back is the most exposed). <> iPhone Timeline Posted on: 7-3-2008 This is an iPhone timeline, starting in 1999 with the fist signs of Apple planning an iPhone till the current time when Apple is prepared to release it's second generation phone. <> iPhone projector Posted on: 6-12-2008 / Category: iPhone Accessories Like the name sais and as you can clearely see from the above picture this is a video projector with an iPhone dock. It allows you to watch videos from your iPhone on a 15 to 27 inch display. Also has a set of stereo speakers. Specs after the fold. <> iPhone 3G features Posted on: 6-9-2008 Yes! The iPhone 3G is finally here! Today Mr Steve Jobs announced at the WWDC that starting July 11 we will be able to buy the second generation iPhone, complete with 3G, GPS, third party apps and alot of other neat features. Changes were made on the exterior of the phone, on the back of it, to be precise. Probably because of the GPS module the new iPhone is a little thicker, yet, because of the rounded plastic back with slimmer edges, it seems slimmer than the old model. It's like some visitor said on engdget's comments: "The new iPhone will, somehow, be both larger and smaller than the current model!" <> iPhone takes 6'th place on US market Posted on: 4-18-2008 According to a report from The NPD Group the US phone sales increased in 2007 to a total number of 146 million units. With 3.7 million iPhones delivered in that period Apple is positioned on sixth place, with a 2.5% share of the market. Out of all phones 12% where smartphones, almost double than the previous year. And the iPhone is one of the best selling smartphones, with 19.1% of the market, despite it's been released mid year. <> Logic3 iPhone Speakers Posted on: 4-15-2008 / Category: iPhone Accessories How about turning your iPhone into a fully fledged video player? That's what the guys at Logic3 claim to have done with the i-Station Traveller. The i-Station Traveller are cheap for a set of speakers (£29.99/$58.49/€37.99) so we didn't expect too much. We were pleasantly surprised however with the nifty design and quality sound. Logic3 have also gladly managed to avoid the annoying TDMA noise that speakers make when next to mobile phones. <> 16GB iPhone Posted on: 2-5-2008 16GB iPhone is finally here, Apple just updated their official iPhone page to include the picture you see above. For an extra $100 you can get the new version of iPhone with 16GB memory. This is not the second generation iPhone tho, since no other changes except the memory increase were announced. <> iPhone in Spain, Italy and Switzerland Posted on: 2-3-2008 Currently the countries the iPhone is available (officialy) are US, UK, France and Germany. Advantages of having the iPhone officialy in your country are obvious: smaller price, 2 years warranty, firmware updates, better data plans and such, so it's easy to understand that most iPhone fans around the world wish that Apple choses their contry to be the next one where iPhone will be available. As you see we've chosen the "iPhone in Canada" picture to ilustrate this article and that's for the main reason that Canada was the most expected (and speculated) country to enter the iPhone world. They were at least five moments when the immediate launch of the iPhone in Canada was rumored, yet none of them came true. <> iPhone Travel Pillow Posted on: 1-30-2008 / Category: iPhone Accessories This iPod/iPhone travel pillow from Solutions.com may come in handy when you travel for long distances. We all know that sleeping in an airplaine seat is quite dificult so a travel pillow is a must. And also some music would help you relax and sleep, but sleeping with your headphones on is not really confortable and you might wake up with your ears hurting. <> Bose iPhone Headset Posted on: 1-28-2008 / Category: iPhone Accessories When it comes to audio devices Bose needs no introduction, I think everybody agrees that they lead the speaker and headphones market. And since The Steve Himself described the iPhone as the best iPod ever made, it is clear that listening to music is a big part of the iPhone experience. So the best iPod deserves the best headset too, that's why Bose came with this Mobile On-Ear Headset.<> |

iPhone CasesWith a multitude of iPhone Cases already out and more coming it's important to understand the key types of iPhone cases. Below you find the most popular kinds of case. Rest assured the iPhoniacs store stocks all varieties of iPhone cases. Hard iPhone casesThese offer the greatest protection for your iPhone but can be more bulky than skin cases. Hard cases come in a variety of materials including leather, metal and plastic. Most hard cases do not provide protection for the iPhone screen but do come with belt loop or clips some of which are removeable. iPhone Skin CasesUsually made of silicone the iPhone Skin Cases are popular because they provide additional grip and reasonable protection for reduced bulkiness and typically lower cost than hard cases. A minor caveat is that it makes it harder to retrieve the iPhone from a pocket or purse because the silicone grips to many surfaces. The silicone material can become discoloured in time and only high quality skin cases fit perfectly. Like the hard case above, the skin case can remain in place whilst operating the iPhone but unlike the hard case most do not have belt loops or clips. iPhone PouchesiPhone Pouches come in three flavours: side pouches, top pouches and pocket pouches. They typically protect the entire iPhone including the screen and are usually made of leather, plastic or silicon. As their name suggests they keep the iPhone safe in a variety of orientations. In most cases the iPhone must be removed from the pouch before use. Pouches usually come with belt loops or clips. This coupled with more study or rugged construction add to the total bulk. Body SkinsAn iPhone body skin is the next generation of skin case and take the form of a formed film that comes in several pieces that you apply to the designated areas of your iPhone. Most have a screen protection component. All can remain on whilst the iphone is being used. The offer scratch resistance and enhanced grip but do little for physical protection. They are the least bulky of all iphone cases. Clip Cases or HolstersiPhone Clip cases are hard plastic belt mounted cases that hold your iPhone. They are lighter than hard cases and pouch cases but only protect one side of your iPhone (for most you can choose which side you want to protect, most will choose to protect the screen). Depending on orientation some will allow the use of the phone in-situ. Removal is usually a simple matter of depressing the clip to release the phone. Flip-Lid CasesFlip-lid cases are the hinged siblings of hard and pouch cases that enable you to use the phone whilst in the case by flipping the protective screen flap either up like a Star Trek communicator or across like a book. They are usually bulkier and more expensive than their parents but offer convenience in exchange. |
